GINGER HONEY & LEMON REVAMPED

This beautifully flavoursome drink was inspired by my friend Nora, a ‘keep-fit’ enthusiast, who I admire for her continuous perseverance and motivation in achieving her fitness goals. She has been a great influence on me, supporting me on one of my journeys, to qualify as a Personal Trainer. Both Nora and I love the warm and spicy aroma of the ginger, which combined with all the other magic ingredients creates a fantastic antioxidant concoction. So enjoy it as a comforting warm drink, a cough elixir…….or simply chill in the fridge, add a bit of ice and join in the party, alcohol-free!

INGREDIENTS
1.5 litres of boiling hot water
1 green tea bag
1/2 fresh lemon – juice
4cm of ginger
150ml cold water
1-2 tbsp honey

 

 

METHOD
1. Peel and blend 4cm of fresh ginger with 150ml of cold water
2. Soak 1 green tea bag in the above mixture, in a large pot, for 5 minutes
2. Add the 1.5 litres of boiling water to it, rest aside covered for 5 minutes

 

 

3. Finally add the fresh lemon juice and the honey to sweeten
